Mattie passed away peacefully on September 7th in the exceptional care of the staff at Kilcolgan Nursing Home. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Brigid and by his brothers Padraig and Kevin and sister Maisie. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his brothers Brendan and Joe, sister Teresa Foley, sisters-in-law Anne and Margaret, brothers-in-law Tim and John, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Mattie will repose at Brendan and Anne’s home in Gurraune North, Oranmore H91 T38R, for family and close friends from 6 p.m. on Wednesday, 8th September. Removal on Thursday, 9th September, at 10.15 a.m. to arrive at the Church of the Assumption and St. James Claregalway, for Requiem Mass at 11.00 a.m. Funeral after Mass to Claregalway Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Galway Hospice.
