Galway County Council and WEEE Ireland will be holding a free WEEE Collection for Household Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. Anything from the home with a plug or a battery will be accepted at the collection.
Items Accepted
- All Electrical Household Items
- Radios, ipods, MP3s etc.
- TVs, remotes etc.
- Video/DVD players, consoles and games etc.
- I.T. equipment (erase any hard drives)
- Microwaves
- Fluorescent lighting, CFLs, LEDs etc.
- Household batteries, car batteries, fence batteries etc.
- Electronic toys
- Power tools
- Mobile phones
Items NOT Accepted
- General household waste
- Green organic waste
- Hazardous chemicals
- Paints
- Aerosols
- Medical waste
Collections will take place on Thursday 26th September 2013 as follows:
Athenry, Co. Galway—Arrabawn Co-Op (The Mill), Dublin Road 10am–1pm
Baile Chláir (Claregalway ), Co. Galway—Community Centre 4pm–7pm
Please ensure that all equipment is clean and ready for recycling and that there are no food substances in fridges, deep fat fryers etc.
