The Summer Camp took place this year in July. A funpacked week of activities that ranged from Sports to Drama, Art & Craft to the memorable water games, was enjoyed by all. Children from the entire area are welcome for the camp with over 100 children taking part this year. The Camp has been run for a number of years and is established as a key diary event in Claregalway.

The purpose of the camp is Fun. However, events such as Arts and Crafts, Drama and Supervised Sporting activities, enabled the children to learn new skills and meet new friends.

The camp is organised by the Leisure Centre Committee, who are the first to recognise the tremendous help which the parents, teenagers and local community members have put into this year’s event. The camp was an unrivaled success for the children, but also for the leaders who once again discovered that it’s fun to be young.

Looking forward to seeing all those faces (young and not so young) back again next year.
