FOR several decades, Malachy Qualter has entertained generations of people around the county, singing at all kinds of functions and events.
Now after many years the Loughgeorge man has at last entered the recording studios and produced a wonderful recording.
Recorded at Sounds Technical Studios in Kiltrogue, under the direction of Gerry Fahy, Malachy simply titles his CD “Songs I Like To Sing”.
The CD has Malachy at his best and includes the classic from the film “The Quiet Man” film which some of it was filmed in nearby Ballyglunin “Isle of Innisfree”.
Malachy sang with many bands over his distinguished career but with his long-time friend Todd Naughton, where they served the area simply as Todd and Malachy they became legendary across the county and beyond.
