Next Monday will see a very special charity football match in Claregalway, staged in aid of the Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust, organised by local footballer Mark Walsh, who has recently benefited from its facilities.  https://www.facebook.com/bonemarrowtrust/

The game will take place next Monday at 2pm in Lakeview between Claregalway Junior A team and Claregalway Junior B team. A bucket collection will be taken up at this game.

Later that evening, at 8pm in the Arches Hotel, a table quiz raffle will also be held and your support for these two fundraisers would be greatly appreciated. https://www.facebook.com/ArchesHotel/

Well done to selector Eugene Kearney and Claregalway Players Hannah Walsh, Ava Murray, Laura Flynn, Player of The Match Chellene Trill, Kiara Kearney, Kate Slevin and Shauna Brennon on their All-Ireland Success with Galway U-16’s in the All-Ireland Final last Wednesday.

The girls put in a huge effort to haul back an eight point deficit to Kerry in the second half and go on to win in extra time.  Their fitness and determination is what got Galway over the line.

Well done also to Charolette, Deirdre, Fabienne and the senior ladies on their wn on Saturday in Ballinasloe over Westmeath.  Galway now meet Mayo in the All-Ireland Senior quarter final on Sunday.

Numbers drawn in the Weekly Claregalway/Carnmore GAA Lotto for July 23 were 6, 22, 24 and 25.  The jackpot of €4,000 was not won.  Match 3: Patricia Cunningham, Castlerea, and Lisa Geraghty, Rockwood. Seller’s Prize: Martin Joe Farragher. There will be no draw on Race Week.  Next draw is in the Claregalway Hotel on August 7.
