There was a massive turnout for the tractor run which commenced at the yard of Flynn’s of Lackagh on Sunday last in aid of Ronald McDonald House Ireland and Crumlin Children’s Hospital.

Several hundred lorries, vintage cars and tractors left Lackagh village in what was a wonderful spectacle that brought the crowds out as they passed through villages o the route. The event was organised by Jonathan Flynn and the staff of Flynn’s of Lackagh jointly with David and Cathy Rabbitte of Grange, who had experienced at first hand the value of the Ronald McDonald House at the hospital.

These facilities allowed David and Cathy Rabbitte and other children of the family to stay in a homely accommodation, while their daughter Caoimhe was at the hospital.

They are indebted to all who came in tractors, trucks, vintage tractors and cars. They are indebted to the gardai, stewards and all who helped in every way possible. They are also extremely thankful to all who supported the raffle and auction, provided tea, coffee and refreshments on the day.

The event was a massive success and they will be forever grateful to all who made the event such a huge coordinated effort and added that donations can still be made online at https://idonate.ie/fudraiser/RMHCCHI.
