The death has occurred of Ita Lyons (nee Concannon), Palmerstown, Oranmore, Co Galway and formerly of Inishbofin.

Peacefully, on May 19th 2024, in the loving care of the staff of St Joseph’s Ward, GUH. Devoted wife to her heartbroken husband Declan and cherished mother to her adoring sons Matthew and Odhrán. Sadly missed by her family, brothers Michael, Enda and Kieran, sisters in law Patricia, Geraldine, Yvonne, Emily, Deirdre and Aileen, brothers in law Thom, Thomas and Seán, niece Lia, nephew Cillian. cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Predeceased by her parents Matty and Frances Concannon and parents in law Tommy and Evelyn Lyons and Tommy Lyons Jnr.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at Our Lady’s Chapel, Lackagh (H65N129), on Wednesday evening, May 22nd, from 4.30pm with removal at 7.00pm to the Church of Our Lady of Knock, Lackagh.

Funeral Mass in the Church of Our Lady of Knock, Lackagh (H65N129) on Thursday at 2.30pm with burial afterwards in Athenry Cemetery.

Mass will be live-streamed on www.lackaghchurchliveyoutube and also broadcast on parish radio, 106.9 FM.
