Community Games
Congratulations to our U15 Team who won silver medals in the All-Ireland Community Games Finals, held in Mosney Holiday Centre during the last weekend in August. Claregalway, representing Connacht, beat Munster in the semi-final, and were defeated by the team from Leinster in the Final by the narrow margin of 3–2.
Team members: Cathy Casserly, Ross Forde, Maria Moran, Christopher Keane, Sandra Walshe, Joseph Garrett, Grainne Noonan, Donal Cahalan.
I would like to thank all the parents who traveled to Mosney to support the players and all who came to Galway to welcome us home and escort us to Claregalway, where a magnificent bonfire awaited us at the Leisure Centre. My thanks to the Team Members for making it a memorable weekend for me in Mosney.
Adult badminton continues every Tuesday Night 8.30–11pm. New members are always welcomed.
