From the 18th to 21st September 2013, Aer Lingus in partnership with Etihad Airways will host the first ever International Hurling Festival. The Hurling Tournament and other festival events, including family fun days, kids games, traditional music and dance, will be staged in Galway City and County throughout the four day festival. Sixteen overseas teams from all over the world are traveling to Galway to participate in this unique event, which include teams from Australia, North America, Canada, Sought America, the Middle East, Europe and the UK, along with the Forty Four Galway Juvenile hurling teams participating in the Aer Lingus U12 Juvenile tournament.

The teams will be based in the host towns of Ballinasloe, Loughrea, Gort and Galway West, for the duration of the festival, where they will enjoy our legendary Galway Hospitality, As well as giving us the opportunity to welcome new visitors to our county, we can also welcome back some old acquaintances, with over fifty Galway players returning home to participate in the International Hurling Festival.
