The changing of the Annual Mass in Claregalway Cemetery to the June bank holiday weekend proved to be a huge success with one of the biggest crowds ever in attendance.
Fr Ian O’Neill was joined by Fr Seamus Nohilly SMA and Fr John Dunleavy SMA for the celebration of the Mass at the cemetery. Great work has been carried out in recent months in the cemetery and the people were asked to make a small contribution towards the upkeep of the cemetery.
Fr. Ian told the large congregation that is is hoped that all other graves in the parish including Lisheens will be marked out in the near future to acknowledge resting place of many little infants and others.
