Congratulations to the Intermediate Ladies who won the shield at the Connacht 7’s at the weekend.
Teenage Camp: 40 Girls took part in the teenage Camp held in Knockdoemor last week. Thanks to the coaches Michael Healy, Fabienne Cooney, Emer O’Connell and all our own Club Coaches who helped out both days. A special thanks to Elaine who looked after the First Aid and also supplied much appreciated refreshments both days.
Feile Laois Offaly 2012: Best wishes to the Claregalway U-14 Ladies who will depart the Clubhouse on Friday morning at 10am for the National Feile Finals in Laois/Offaly. This is the Clubs fifth time to represent Galway in the National Féile Finals and this year the U14 team hope to defend their title having won in 2010 and 2011. The team will be hosted by the Kildangan Nurney Club in Kildare. Timetable for the weekend is as follows: Friday Match at 2:00pm v Kildangan Nurney.3:00pm Tea and Sandwiches at Clubhouse 4:00pm Visit to Kildangan Stud 5:00pm Travel to Portlaoise for Feile Parade (which starts from O’Moore Park at 7pm and finishes on Mountrath Road at bus Pick-up area). Saturday 10:00am Second Match: Claregalway V Portlaoise in Portlaoise. 11:45am Skills Competition 12:30pm Third Match: ClaregalwayV Monaleen (Limerick) also in Portlaoise The winners of the Group will go on to play Semi-Finals in Mountmellick later that evening. 8-10pm Hosts are providing a meal/traditional music and get together for girls in Nurney Clubhouse.
We know that once again the girls will wear their club colours with pride as they lead out the Parade in Portlaoise this Friday as last years Champions.
U12 Ladies play in the Community Games County Final this Sunday. They will play Corofin with throw in at 2pm in Tuam Stars. Best of luck to the girls and all involved.
