Over sixty traditional musicians from Scoil Padraig Naofa, Cregmore, along with renowned concertina player from West Clare, Edel Fox, will host a gala traditional concert in St. Nicholas’s Collegiate Church, Galway, on Saturday night next, June 16th, commencing at 8pm. This concert will showcase the traditional music that has grown and developed in Cregmore School.
Edel Fox, a much accomplished and acclaimed concertina player from Milltown Malbay, has rehearsed with the children for what should be a unique performance. Also performing on the night are some of Edel’s close friends, including Neill Byrne from Waterford (on fiddle), Tracy Ryan from Tipperary (on flute and vocals) and Ryan O’Donnell from Tyrone (on bouzouki and banjo).
