Claregalway Friary » pre-1890
This photo pre-dates the conservation work begun in the 1890s when the Friary was entrusted to the care of the Commissioners of Public Works. The damaged east window was repaired and the ivy-clad gables were stripped as part of works “at a cost of about £200” at the end of the nineteenth century.
