Lackagh Musical Society will present their 2010 production at Turloughmore Social Centre from Feb 27th to March 1st inclusive.
“All Shook Up” is a lively musical comedy, book by Joe DiPietro inspired by and featuring the music of Elvis Presley.
“All Shook Up” is set in 1955 and tells the story of a small town girl with big dreams
and a motorbike riding hip-swiveling, guitar-playing stranger she falls for. Set in mid west American town where prohibition is enforced by mayor Matilda, lives are transformed when the townspeople rebel. The show is an all singing, all dancing comedy featuring classic numbers including “Jail House Rock”, “Love me Tender”, “Hound Dog”, “Blue Suede Shoes”, “Devil in Disguise” and of course “All Shook Up”.
The LMS cast includes Anthony Carey (Chad), Sarah Hession (Natalie), Carol Coppinger (Lorraine), Coman Duke (Dean), Mary Fitzgerald (Matilda), Adrian Mooney (Earl) supported by a lively chorus have been in rehearsal for the past 2 months and look forward to bringing an injection of rock and roll to Lackagh!

The production by Lackagh Musical Society features a plethora of local talent in the leading roles, Sarah Hession from Carraig Mor making her LMS debut as Natalie, Corrundulla’s Anthony Carey as Chad ably supported by LMS regular Carole Coppinger as Lorraine and Claregalway’s Coman Duke as Dean. Other local favourites include Adrian Mooney as Earl, Richie Bell as Dennis and Mary Fitzgerald as stern mayor Matilda (watch out for her hilarious performance of Devil in Disguise).
