Galway County Council wishes to inform the public that as of Monday 14th January 2013, road works being carried out on the N17 as part of the new sewerage scheme will be carried out at Night time from 8pm until 6am. This change from daytime working to night-time working is designed to improve traffic flows through Claregalway village and reduce traffic congestion that had occurred during the day works. These night works are envisaged to continue until the foreseeable future.
Galway County Council wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused or may be caused by this necessary work.
Works on the main N17 will cease today and two way traffic will be restored for Thursday 10th and Friday 11th January.
