Edward Coppinger

Edward Coppinger who is a native of Lackaghbeg and is well known for his excellent poetry over many years has launched a book entitled The Poacher’s Son—Memories of Ireland and other Poems. Edward, who has been a regular contributor to the Claregalway parish magazine Nuacht Chláir (check out some of his local poems online here or in our online editions), will have his book available from early September.

The book in now on sale by email all over the British Isles, but the author is hoping to find retailers in Galway for local sales. This week Edward Coppinger’s book The Poacher’s Son—Memories of Ireland and other Poems became available to purchase for €14 (postage is free).

The book mostly comprises of poetry relating to his memories of growing up in Galway, titles include Lackagh of My Youth, The Ploughman’s Lament and Teac Mor and Knockdoe Hill.
