MARIAN Potter from Carnmore walked away with €22,000 after her appearance on last Saturday’s National Lottery Winning Streak gameshow on RTE. Marian, a greyhound enthusiast, said afterwards she will use some of her winnings to add to the four greyhounds she already owns.  Two of the greyhounds are retired but she frequently watches the others race at courses all over Ireland including Galway and Shelbourne Park in Dublin.

This caps off a wonderful year for Marian, a country music fan, who is also celebrating 40 years of marriage to Danny,  She was cheered on in the audience by her husband, two of her daughters, Shirley and Ann, her brothers and sisters, extended family and friends.

Marian’s two daughters who are living abroad watched the show online.  Laura is living in Spain, while Michelle cheered her on all the way from Boston, along with her husband Pal and their children Sinead and Ronan. Michelle also gave Marian a recorded message of good luck on air.
