Mens News:

We’ve been drawn in Group C of the Senior Football Championship.
We are in with:
Mountbellew/Moylough
Tuam Stars
St Michaels
Dunmore McHales
The top two in each group and the best third-place team from the six team groups qualify for the Quarter Final.
The last spot will be a playoff between the two remaining third placed teams.
Regarding relegation, the bottom two teams in each group go into relegation playoffs.
Championships will begin the weekend of the 30th of July. Two weeks later if Galway make the All-Ireland Final.

Not to be for the Junior C team in their last group game against Oranmore/Maree in Knockdoemore on Friday evening.in a very contentious game Our lads were defeated on a scoreline of 0:11 to 0:07.
The lads have qualified for the West board Semi finals where they will meet neighbours Annaghdown in two weeks

Minors:
Our Minor A’s are out against Tuam Stars on Sunday the 9th at 10:30 in Tuam. Our Minor B’s are out against Eastern Harps in Ballinaloe on Sunday also – time TBC. Our Minor Development squat are out against headford, also on Sunday, in Knockdoemore at 18:30.

The Minor A’s had a good win versus Corofin. The B’s were beaten by Mountbellow/Moylough and the development squad had a win against Annaghdown last week.
Development – Hughes Supervalu Claregalway:
Work commenced on the new Juvenile pitch for Claregalway GAA at Knockdoemore Park last week. Eva and Kathy Hughes of Hughes SuperValu Claregalway (who will be the pitch sponsors when the works which commenced yesterday are completed) were in attendance.
Hughes’ who are now celebrating four generations in business in Claregalway are proud to support investment in future generations of football in Claregalway.

Feile 23
We hosted 8 teams from all over the country over the weekend. A great day of football for all involved and some great memories made for the competitors.

Packie McGovern, an honoury vice president and stalwart of our own club has long association with Killygarry and gave them an inspirational speech to motivate them along. Dedication to club and community!
We hope Killygarry GAA and all of the clubs competing yesterday went home happy after a great day of football.
