2005 was yet again a very busy year for the Club and I would like to pay special thanks to all Team
Managers, Coaches and both juvenile and senior club committees for all their support in continuing to develop the club. A special thanks also to all the parents, without your support in bringing players to training and games we would be unable to field the teams we do.

Indoor Hurling
We are currently running our Indoor season until Easter for players aged 6, 7 & 8 each Wednesday night at Carnmore Coummity Centre from 7.00-8.15pm.

Summer Camp 2005
Yet again this year we had a very successful summer camp with approx 110 children attending from the
Club which was run in conjuction with Coaching & Development committee and Roinn na Gaeltacht

Special Mentions
Domhnaill Fox was successful in making it onto the U14 Galway Team. Domhnaill also participated in
the Feile skills & Puc Fada where he achieved 3rd and 2nd place respectively.

Sponsorship

Club Registration
Registration Night for all Juvenile players will take place in Carnmore Community Centre on Wed 8th
February from 7.00-8.30pm. All juvenile players are asked to attend to complete Registration forms and pay fee.

Coaching and Games Development – Calasanctius Gaelic Games Development
A new initiative in the coaching of hurling has began under the directorship of Damien Coleman, with
Carnmore and Oranmore/Maree clubs participating. Coaching sessions are held in
Carnmore,Claregalway, Baunmore, Oranmore, Scoil Mhuire, Maree and Gael Scoil Di Hide Nationals
Schools and Calasanctius College.
It is ran in 8 to 10 week blocks and is over seen by a local committee made up of club members from
Carnmore and Oranmore /Maree Clubs. At the moment there are approx. 390 boys and girls from 1st to
6th classes been coached at national school level and another 70 to 80 receiving coaching at secondary level. The aim behind this initiative is to develop the skills and talents of all boys and girls wishing to play hurling.
Great credit is due to Damien Coleman for initiativing this scheme in all the secondary school areas
throughout county Galway and good luck to Damien on his recent appointment as Connacht Hurling
Director. I would also like to compliment the coach David Holland for his dedication to the scheme. Our thanks also to the teachers of all the schools for their corporation in allowing the coaching to take place.

The coaching time table is as follows:

Tuesday – Bawnmore
Wednesday – Carnmore, Claregalway
Thursday – Oran more, Calasanctius.
