The Ladies Club end of year Presentations took place on Saturday 3rd December. The evening was a great success with each team from U10 to U16 being honoured. Jimmy Hughes representing main sponsors Hughes Supervalu was on hand to present the medals to the recently crowned U16A County Champions.

This was followed by Presentations to the U14 team which in 2011 won every competition it entered which included 2 national titles. Medals were presented by the Clubs first Adult Ladies Captain, Hannah Coen. Hannah is Captain of the first Claregalway team to gain promotion to intermediate level for 2012 and winners of the Division 2 Adult League against where they played defending champions Caltra Cuans recently. Hannah and the Junior team are great role models for all of the underage players. A framed photo of the winning panel and mentors was then presented to all of the Management and Mentors involved with the U14 Panel in 2011.

Tony Clarke, Club Executive Chairman spoke briefly about the upcoming raffle which takes place in January 2012 which has some fantastic prizes including trips to Premier football games and trips to Cheltenham. Tickets are priced at just €20 and are available from any club officer or mentor. The U12s were next to be honoured. Following a great year of football, where several of them got an opportunity to wear the County Jerseys, they were each presented with a certificate in recognition of their participation throughout the year. Amy Rohan, junior player and Captain of the County Minor Team who won the Connacht Final in 2011 presented the Certificates. The presentations concluded with the U10’s who won the County League Title earlier this year in Belclare.

This is a great panel of girls who have so much enthusiasm and talent. Hopefully all of these girls will continue to play Club football for many years. Medals were presented by Hannah Coen.  To finish off a lovely afternoon, Club Chairman, called on Orla Murphy, U14 Ladies Captain of 2011 to present a bouquet to Hannah Coen in recognition of her great achievements for 2011. Many thanks to Sean Walsh who did a fantastic job as MC for the evening and to Mike Cullina who, as always, was on hand to take photographs. Thanks also to Paraic Keane and Mary Conlon for their hard work in organising the event.

The AGM of the Ladies Club takes place on Wednesday 7th December at 8pm in the Clubhouse. All parents of children involved in the Club are encouraged to attend. New members are always welcome and are an essential part of the Clubs continued growth. It is also very important to get new perspectives and new ideas to ensure that we can provide the best training, facilities and other associated activities for our Children. Any parents who have a child involved in football are asked to attend. The AGM begins at 8pm.
