Carnmore worked hard in the second half, with points from George Hanley, Kevin Killilea and Barry Hanley, to keep their side honest, however with the score at 1–21 to 2–12 at the end of the third quarter, the result had all but slipped away. Portumna, although conceded no less than fifteen frees to Carnmore’s seven, were the winners of this match. Only for Carnmore’s goalkeeper, Ciaran Fahy, there may have been a much larger gap in the result.

Final Score
Portumna 2–28
Carnmore 2–14
