The Clubs Coaching Committee recently launched a Coaching Manual for all Club Coaches. The aim is to develop the Clubs success particularly at Minor and Senior Level while maintaining a high standard of coaching. The main objective of the Coaching Committee that produced this manual is to ensure that each player receives excellent coaching to develop their core skills and to promote the ongoing development and retention of footballers in the Club from U8 right up to Senior level. Another function of the Committee is to encourage integration between the senior players with other teams in the Club particularly at junior level.

A lot of work has gone into this manual and all club Coaches are encouraged to use it in the coming season. If you would like a copy contact Alan Moran 086 668 1556.

The first Club Event following the publication of this Manual is a Talk on Diet and Nutrition for Coaches, Parents and Players on Friday 26th February at 7:30 in the Claregalway Hotel. All players from the age of 12 and upwards are asked to attend and the talk will include what players should be eating before, during and after games and will be presented by Nutritionist, Margaret Byrne who has extensive experience in sports nutrition. Please contact Alan Moran for further information or any of the Club Coaches.

The next event on the coaching calendar is a practical Coaching Session for all coaches at the Club grounds on Saturday 20th March at 10am.
