The Never Too Old Charity Shop, based in Cois Chláir, Claregalway (behind the Arches Hotel) was established in 2012 and is run 100 per cent by volunteers from the community and surrounding areas.
It is the main source of funding for the Claregalway & District Day Care Centre, a centre that provides a place of socialisation for the elderly, socially isolated members of the community, and those living with Parkinsons, stroke, dementia or other issues that may restrict their social interaction. The shop accepts donations of re-sellable clothing, bric a brac and furniture and could be a valuable source for Christmas shopping.
