There is huge excitement and anticipation in the parish on foot of the weekend launch of the next phase of Turloughmore Hurling and Camogie Clubs’ ambitious development plans.
Phase one was completed in 2021 – a top quality new Astro Turf Pitch and Ball Wall. Phase two – the purchase of 13.5 acres of land, was completed in April, thus Phase three can now commence.
This will see four new pitches, a new walkway, new dressing rooms, stand, new and upgraded car parking as well as all associated infrastructure.
To fund the development they also launched the Turloughmore 545 Club.
The plan is to add four more pitches to the existing one in Lackagh, while the fundraiser is based on giving €5 a week; hence it’s a €5 a week for 5 pitches – 5 for 5 (545).
