This is the sixth year that the Campaí Samhraidh have been run in the area. As usual, Campaí were held in Lackagh and Carnmore and for the first time ever, in Claregalway. Children came from as far as Mountbellew, Abbeyknockmoy, Galway City and Castlegar as well as the immediate areas of Claregalway, Carnmore, Lackagh and Turloughmore.
The weather blessed the tours to Connemara, County Clare and the swimming pool in Clarinbridge. The camp ended with a concert in Lackagh which was packed with the families and friends of the children who attended the course. The Coiste would like to thank the teachers, helpers, students and parents, Craobh na naicreidh and especially Peadar Mullins and Udarás na Gaeltachta.
